Why People Choose The Sonoma County Home Show
You will meet the professionals you can trust, many have been part of our Home Shows for over 30 years, some have been with us since day one… that’s real reliability. In today’s fast pace complex world, we have all come to rely on many sources of information. We are bombarded by the web, radio, TV, print, direct mail, and tons of social media. How do we find just the right home product, service, designer, or contractor?
At our show you are in charge. You get to choose which exhibitors to “interview” and then compare their business offerings face-to-face on your terms. We take away the “fear” of the hard-shell stranger invading your home after that 1-800 appointment you made, or that recommendation list web site you clicked on. You will be able to evaluate your potential source on your terms. If the “fit” is not there, you move on to find just the right professional somewhere else at the show.
Thousands of attendees have even made our Home Shows an annual experience. They get to know many of our hundreds of exhibitors and even become casual friends with some. Then when ready to proceed on a project, they have greater confidence, which can ultimately save time and money.
By California State Law, all of our exhibitors requiring licenses are checked for good standing with the state licensing board. This gives you another measure of confidence.
History
In 1987, after successfully marketing the Bakersfield Home & Garden Show for two years, Gina Hofen of G&G Productions took on the challenge of marketing the Sonoma County Home & Garden show with the support and urging of Don Schwartz of J.C. Penney’s Custom Decorating. The result was the most successful home show vendors and attendees alike had seen in many years in Santa Rosa. Spurred on by this success the Fall Home Show was added a few years later.
In 2010, G&G turned over production of the Sonoma County shows to SC Shows. However, in 2015, we were able to re-acquire the market and our shows are showing strong growth under the leadership of Jamie Rodriguez, the current generation of the G&G family. Jamie is breathing new life into this exciting market and has helped Sonoma County Home Shows garner new respect and appreciation from our exhibitors and attendees.
Sonoma County is a destination for many Californians as well as people from all over the country and the world because of its wine production. It is a beautiful place to live and work and we have enjoyed the people who have been loyal throughout the years. One of those people we’ve had the privilege of knowing is Guy Fieri, an unknown at the time and whose home base is Sonoma County. He proudly served fettuccini and Caesar salad from his Johnny Garlic trailer at the Sonoma County Home Show! Who’d have known?
In a world where there is so much uncertainty of the future, we are proud to say that our business partners can count on us for this commitment to quality now and in the years to come. You can depend on us to be fair, and to keep our promises. That’s saying a lot in this day and age.
